GMP Open Lab

This free club, led by Mr. Finn Goehrig, gives interested Gifted Math Program students the opportunity to work on math and computer science activities chosen by the group and to socialize with peers.

GMP Open Lab Schedule and Registration

Information about GMP Open Lab for 2025-26 will be posted in August.

  • The club will meet from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Fridays.
  • The club will meet weekly during the GMP school year, starting on October 3rd with the following EXCEPTIONS: November 28; December 19, 26; January 2; February 20; April 3; April 10. It will end on April 24.
  • To join this free club, please contact Mr. Goehrig. There may be a limit on the number of students who can join in a semester.

Open Lab Activities

Team leaders are chosen to lead specific groups and secretaries keep track of the logistics and minutia of day to day activities. Students are welcome to pursue collaborative learning in mathematics, computer science, game design, 3d modelling, 3d printing, or just play games together and socialize! If you have an idea for a project or activity, bring it to the table!

This year we are planning some workshops around cybersecurity, occasional guest speakers, and the production of a student-curated publication and presentations this coming Pi Day!
